Pulse Terms of Use
The terms for business accounts, authorised users, subscriptions and connected dispatch services.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Use apply to Pulse, including the Pulse website, operator portal, mobile applications and connected dispatch features, provided by TaxiApps Pulse ("we", "us" or "our"). Contact us at info@taxiapps.co.uk.
Pulse is intended for taxi and private-hire businesses and their authorised staff. "You" means the subscribing business or, where relevant, an authorised user. You must have authority to act for the business when ordering a subscription or administering its account. These terms form part of the conditions on which we offer Pulse. Any separately agreed written service agreement takes priority where it expressly varies these terms. Publishing this version does not retrospectively change an existing agreed contract.
2. Using Pulse
Pulse provides tools for accessing and managing connected dispatch operations. Available features depend on your membership, user permissions, configured integrations and supported device. We grant authorised users permission to use the service for the subscribing business while its account is entitled to access.
Pulse is software, not a transport operator or an emergency service. The operator remains responsible for licensing, drivers, vehicles, passenger welfare, fares, booking decisions and compliance with transport law. Check important booking details and maintain appropriate alternative arrangements if a device, network or integration is unavailable. Do not use the application while driving where doing so is unsafe or unlawful.
3. Accounts and security
Provide accurate account and billing information, keep contact details current, and use only accounts and dispatch connections you are authorised to access. The business administrator is responsible for staff access, membership limits and promptly removing users who no longer need access.
Keep passwords, sign-in links and integration credentials confidential. Do not share individual credentials, impersonate another user or attempt to access another company's information. Notify us promptly if you suspect a compromised account or unauthorised activity. You remain responsible for activity you authorise; this does not remove our responsibility for security failures for which we are legally responsible.
4. Memberships, payments and referral codes
The price, setup charge, billing frequency, included users and any applicable discount are displayed in your order or checkout. Paid subscriptions renew and are billed in advance until cancelled. Stripe processes online payments. Keep your payment method up to date and review payment confirmations and renewal information in the portal.
Within the same billing frequency, an upgrade may require a prorated payment before the higher membership becomes active. Downgrades, billing-frequency changes and cancellation normally take effect at the next billing date, as shown when you request the change. Promotional setup waivers, free memberships and trial offers apply only on the terms shown with the offer.
Referral codes are subject to validation, availability and any stated usage limit. A code does not automatically entitle a customer to a refund of earlier payments. Partner commission or referral fees are governed by the relevant partner arrangement; a customer's subscription payment is separate from a partner's entitlement to a credit.
We will notify affected customers before a subscription price change applies, so they can decide whether to continue or cancel before the change takes effect.
5. Cancellation, refunds and overdue accounts
You can schedule cancellation through membership management or contact info@taxiapps.co.uk for assistance. Deleting an app, stopping use or removing a staff account does not by itself cancel a subscription. Access normally continues until the end of the paid period.
For business subscriptions, unused portions of a billing period are not normally refunded when you cancel or downgrade. This does not exclude a refund required by law, a billing-error correction, or a refund we separately agree. Contact us if a charge appears incorrect.
Unpaid charges may lead to restricted access or suspension. Continued non-payment may result in account closure and removal of operational data after the notices and deadlines communicated to you. Review any payment and deletion warnings promptly. Retained financial records and third-party records may remain after closure, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use Pulse to break the law, harass people, upload unlawful content, misuse passenger or staff data, introduce malware, bypass access controls, interfere with service availability or extract information you are not entitled to access. Do not test security or scan the service without prior authorisation. Report suspected vulnerabilities privately to our contact address.
Do not sell or redistribute access except under an agreed partner arrangement. Our software, branding and documentation remain the property of their respective owners. You retain rights in the content you supply and permit us to process it as needed to provide the service. You must have the necessary rights to upload logos and other materials.
7. Your data and integrations
The Pulse Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. The operator is responsible for the lawful collection and use of passenger, driver and employee information it makes available through Pulse, including appropriate notices and permissions. Do not enter unnecessary sensitive information in booking notes or support requests.
Where we process personal data on your instructions, applicable data-protection terms and any agreed data-processing agreement govern that processing. This public notice does not replace a required data-processing agreement. Contact us to arrange the appropriate terms for your organisation.
Connections such as iCabbi, mapping, payments and optional calling services also depend on third-party permissions, availability and terms. You must be entitled to authorise each connection. Cancelling Pulse does not automatically cancel your separate third-party contracts.
8. Availability, support and responsibility
We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Maintenance, updates and issues affecting networks or third-party systems may interrupt features. Unless separately agreed, we do not promise uninterrupted operation or a particular response time. Report issues through Pulse Support or email us, including enough detail to identify the affected company and feature without sending passwords or payment-card details.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a security risk, unlawful use or a material breach. Where practicable, we will explain the issue and provide an opportunity to resolve it; urgent protection may require immediate action.
Responsibility for loss is determined by applicable law and any separately agreed service contract. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Pulse is offered for business use, but mandatory consumer rights apply wherever the law requires them.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies this version. We will provide appropriate notice of material contractual changes and obtain agreement where required. New terms do not remove rights already accrued or override an existing written agreement without a valid change to that agreement.
Raise service or billing complaints with info@taxiapps.co.uk so we can investigate. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory law that applies to you. This does not restrict a right to bring proceedings in another court where that right cannot lawfully be restricted.
